Visual arts, including mediums such as painting, sculpture, and printmaking acheive much of their value from the eye of the beholder. Aesthetics is the branch of philosophy which considers art. Visual art is defined as the arrangement of colors, forms, or other elements in a manner that affects the sense of beauty.

I have to write an informal essay just analyzing a picture, but I'm really not good at it at every; I'm horrible at visual things. So I was hoping if you every could help me. The instructions are basically to include some of the following: space color value emphasis Background Caricature middle of interest Hue Imagery Motif Neutral colors Pattern Profile Realism Analyze the art: shade, style, symbol, theme, shadows, proportions, arrangements, reflecting people, objects, places, tone, transparent, opaque, viewpoint, warm colors These are the pictures that I'm debating between.. I don't know which one would be easier. It would be nice if you could help me in picking that as well. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v125/filipinogirl06/2-4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v125/filipinogirl06/4-1.jpg It's a lot to ask for, I know, but I really need the help. thank you guys! I've actually decided to do the first picture that I have listed there, just because I think it would be easier for me. So if you guys could stick to that would, it'd be great :]

I guess you can call me a young performing artist at work. I every little bit of the arts from visual to performing. Although my parents don't approve of that. I want to apply for an arts focused high school and the audition applications are due next month so I have to rush and fill them out. But my parents won't let me go, they want me to become something else that has nothing to do with the arts. Because they lived they're dream I can't live mines (although high school isn't the ending point I want to receive an early start). What do I do? I've tried talking to them, telling them my friends' parents aren't like this, but they won't hear!

People develop adore for things based on their environments and lifestyle. A factor such as the media also plays a major role in affecting people when talking about developing adore for things. Many people adore many things, but to me people tend to really adore what they’re good at and become good at what they adore doing. I adore to look different things, meet different people like almost everybody does, but over every, I adore visual art, playing keyboard and writing stories. First I developed the adore for visual art like drawings, paintings and films, when my parents moved to the US. I used to wonder the streets of my hometown with my friends, making fun out of anything to receive the stress of not being able to look my parent, off my mind. That’s when I met one of my classmates (Walter) who taught me how to draw and who would also later become my best pal. Due to his view on drawings – “drawing is just putting on paper what you look” my whole perspective on art and my life would never been the same. Once I learned, I began to draw constantly, started watching Japanese animation and reading mangas – Japanese comics. I loved this new found talent so much that I would even fail one of my classes. Next, being able to play keyboard is a unique talent; because I learned how to play every by myself. One day, a well known singer, also a pal of the family, gave my dad his keyboard as a gift to my dad’s church in Houston Texas. To keep that promise that I made years ago, I began to play that keyboard and made a tune. I made the tune while thinking of adore. Playing that tune sounded so good in my ears, that it created peace and adore in my heart every time I was played. So I began to play a lot more and composed more songs. I never stopped playing ever since. I have two keyboards at home; I’m still composing songs and learning new ways to make my songs sound better. Lastly, the last thing I really adore doing, is Writing. It was after the nine years that I did without both of my parents and after being through many struggles that I began to write a lot. I write mostly when am inspired by a tune, or when I want to make a tune. At a young age I was already a good writer, when it came to writing stories (fiction, fantasy, action, and romance) and defending arguments on paper – my pal would say. I always had a wild imagination that is sure of. In conclusion, when analyzing every the things that I adore doing, these things can be classified as talents now. Because even I receive surprised sometimes at some of the things that I draw, write or play on my keyboard. I don’t have the slightest idea of what am going to arrive up with and sometimes of how am going to. But every time I place my keyboard or do something that I adore doing, something beautiful always happens. That’s why I have no reason not to perfect them and learn more about them.

I do quite well in school, however, I'm in no honors or AP courses. Next year I'm taking 4 AP classes (I'm a junior now). My portfolio is quite exceptional, according to many sources. I have three solid letters of recommendation from an English teacher, an Art teacher, and an award-winning cartoonist from Newsday. I'm on the Varsity Girls swim team, the winter track team, and the spring track team (varsity). Boston University - I'm a visual art major, but most art schools in Boston are very tiny, and I'd like to go to a big school. Emerson Art College in Boston The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston WashU in St. Louis Syracuse University Michigan University (older sister goes there) I haven't taken my SAT exams yet, but I will be prepared.

Hello, For my GCSE Expressive Arts project, we have been given the theme of "magic and the enchanted". We must integrate two art forms (dance, drama, music, art, poetry/stories, film) into one big piece of artwork. I'm having real problems thinking of a unique, yet workable idea. My strengths are in the verbal arts, so I'd somehow like to work in a poem or story into the overall project. I'd really appreciate any ideas. Here are a few of the projects that my classmates are doing :- An illustrated spellbook (visual arts and verbal arts), a film about a masquerade ball, where they film it and make the costumes (Film and visual arts). Many thanks x

I'm 16, in high school, and I can't pick a career. I have a great deal of interest in most fields of the arts, and I think that's what I would be the most successful in. but I can't decide what specific field. ~Visual arts: I've always loved drawing and I post comics online on occasion, and I'm currently in a computer art class at school. I want to go into a career of illustration, animation, or cartooning. ~Music: Since I was little, I've had an uncanny ability to analyze music. I could tell the names of every instrument playing in an orchestra. I now play a handful of instruments, and I'm taking a pre-college music theory class. I would like to go into a career of composing, playing in an orchestra, or writing commercial music. The dreams of being a rock star, I don't think will arrive true. ~Acting: I joined my school's drama club last year and I fell in adore with it. I like being onstage, and I've shown up for every rehearsal, set building day, and brought in parts for props. I really like being part of that community. I would want to be a stage actor in normal and/or musical theatre; possibly go to Broadway one day, or maybe a stage director. This field is the most difficult to receive into professionally, but I really do like it, and I'm talented. I'm talented in every these fields, but not enough to receive a job. I need to decide which one is best for me, so I can start training that skill specifically. Which would be the smartest career choice?

My heart tells me I should be doing theatre or visual arts. I'm wondering if I was right to take the "practical" route or if i should have followed my heart at the risk if being a "starving artist". wer doing a project on a book called A SEPERATE PEACE by JOHN KNOWLES and i need sum suggestions on what to use...here is wat it says on the paper.. final project-graphic presentation A graphic is a visual (two or three dimensional)that uses color, symbols, and words to make a unified statement. The aim of the graphic experience is to help synthesize and organize many details from divergent sources, connecting them, and making sense of them. The key to a successful graphic lies in your awareness of the PROCESS you are going through as you create it. Although, in this case,"neatness counts" artistic ability does not; the primary purpose of the graphic process is to help you THINK, ORGANIZE, and INTEGRATE you thoughts, not to produce and art product. REQURIEMETNS 1 the graphic uses color, symbols, and words 2use color in a rational manner; remember that color can be used symbolically and/or as an organizational device. 3 select a unifying symbol or symbols. DONT PANIC HERE! symbols are not necessarily artistic. Shapes, colors, sizes, natural objects, etc., can every be symbols. Let the symbol arise from the work itself 4Your graphic must use quotes from the work. Make careful and meaningful choices. Tell your audience enough, but not too much. 5your graphic should be titled, not labeled. Select a title that explains what your graphic is about and piques interest. 6intergate your colors, symbol and word to form a pleasing and logical design. 7execute your graphic magnificently.(PANIC HERE) GRADING CRITERIA effective use of color, symbol, and quotes-30pts neatness, visual appeal-20pts makes a "unified statement"of the novel-15pts (HINT:title should reflect this) explaination/presentation-10pts TOTAL-75PTS OK...so that was the stuff on the paper sick give u an example of wat to do...My pal is using a crutch and the title is LEAN ON ME and so the symbol is the crutch and the title is lean on me because of friendship SO WAT SHOULD I USE.?????/

Do you have any pros and cons of either? I'm interested in the arts ( theatre, dance visual) Brockport seems to have a lot of dance,, but is is very competitive? Binghamton seems to have a little more in the theatre department because I think they have more music programs than Brockport, thus being able to do more musicals. I could be mistaken, so if you can let me know that would be great. Even if you know nothing about the dance and theatre departments any feedback would be great because I am mainly between these two. Thanks!

Well its not technically an essay but I have to write a short paper about anything about myself. Is it ok?(not done yet) You can call me whatever you desire. I am an individual of many words and with those words comes great misunderstanding. My world revolves around music and fine arts and obviously, my dearest friends. I don't really put much thought about to where I'm going but to where I'm at. Don't receive me wrong, I do still have a visual of what nice of enviroment and work field I want to obtain but other then that I'm living for the now. Religion wise, I have none and I'm not considering one. I believe in recarnation and in astrological stuff. I'm still debating about if to believe in god or not but as of now, I do. I just don't believe in a heaven or hell. I do believe in the existance of many other things but that's just the side effect of having an enormous open mind. Music wise, I like sounds inspiring change. From "strawberry fields" to "lick my pu$$y", I truly like a variety of genres. Scroll through my Itunes and you'll look. I'm aware that I don't have the best taste in music in the world but hey, it's probably better than yours. every in every, good music is good music. I'm not really picky about people. I try to receive along with everyone especially my peers. I really applaud people who know their music and apparently nowadays there isn't many. Obviously, everyone has flaws including myself but that doesn't keep me from disliking people who are consumed by ignorance. I'm only 16 and I also want to know if my writing skills are decent?

For my visual arts class I am doing an assemblage about horror movies. Any ideas of what I could do for the project? Assemblage is an artistic process in which a three-dimensional artistic composition is made from putting together found objects. Usually used with 3D objects. Again, it's with horror movies, any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I know what movies, but what nice of things i can use, for movies such as: SAW Hostel SCREAM A Nightmare On Elm Street

I am applying to some cal state schools (northridge, long beach, channel islands, dominguez hills, maybe l.a.), but I never took any visual/performing arts classes. However I have 14 semesters of foreign languages, which is well over the requirement lol. So will that make up for the fact that I never took an art class. Cuz I was never told that it would be a problem...I was always encouraged when I said i wanted to take extra languages. I always thought that foreign languages could replace art. Will the campuses care? Or am I screwed because I never took ceramics or some other pointless thing like that... Well I got a 4 on the Spanish AP test....I guess that's good??

The time has arrive for me to make decisions about my future career. It's really difficult because I like a lot of different things and it's nearly impossible to decide. From a very early age I have always loved drawing and visual arts. Up until not too long ago I didn't even consider going into any other field besides visual arts, because I assumed that since art is the only thing I'm really good at, I need to stick with it for the relax of my life. Now that I'm in my final year of high school, I discovered new interests and strengths within myself. I really like writing, in fact, for the past couple of months writing has been fulfilling my need for self expression and has pretty much replaced my need for drawing. Also, I really like Philosophy, my mark in this subject is one of the highest in my class, which is mostly thanks to my persuasive written responses. Another thing I'm really interested in is the German language, I studied it before and feel the need to expand my knowledge so I could finally talk it ( I was also considering studying in Germany later on). I also like anthropology, sociology and neurology although neurology is out of question because I didn't take the required courses in order to go into that field. I just have an overall fascination with the inner workings of people's minds/ the brain itself. I still adore art, but I don't feel like a career in the visual arts would be 100% fulfilling... Can you suggest any ideas about what careers I should look into? I am starting to panic because I'm going to have to start applying to universities pretty soon...

I have a Language Arts Essay; Can someone PLEASE edit it! Thank you Thank You, 10 pts! THANKS. When was the last time you were hungry, and didn’t have a great amount of time to eat? Did you cease at a quick food restaurant? You most likely answered yes. North American’s are consuming triple the amount of quick food than in previous years for many reasons. People should not be consuming quick food on a regular basis. It is bad for your health, in numerous ways. It isn’t fresh; it’s fattening, and loaded with calories. Its normally deep fried, or reheated. So, why do so many North Americans consume it so regularly? It’s cheap, convenient, and advertised well. People may be choosing to eat quick food because it is relatively cheaper than preparing a home cooked meal. quick food restaurants such as McDonalds, Burger King, Harvey’s and more, offer meal deals. quick food is a lot cheaper than food from a grocery store for singles or teenagers because it is cheaper to buy a meal deal (drink, burger, fries) for around 4-6 dollars than it is for you to purchase food at the grocery store (pasta sauce, noodles, drink) for about 12-15 dollars. But, if you are feeding more than 2 people it is cheaper to buy food from a grocery store. Some people have every the money in the world, but not every the time. Prioritizing your time to buy fresh food instead of quick food is one thing, but having the time to purchase, then prepare your food is another. quick food is purchased because, in the time it takes you to purchase food from a grocery store you could have purchased a meal from a steer through and been done. But, if you purchase food you still have to bring it home, unload it into your household, and prepare it. The reality is that not everyone has enough time to eat home cooked meals every the time. But, it is possible if you put forth a reasonable amount of effort. Animated clowns, kings, or girls with red hair, to name a few, are what appeal to kids. Younger kids look advertisements with humorous clowns playing with kids, and then enjoying a glad meal and then they want to have a glad meal. The same affect works with the other logos of quick food chains. If the cartoon characters don’t make you want to like the food, the visual advertisements might. quick food chains advertise food in a variety of ways. Commercials, billboards, signs or posters showcase a perfect burger, or crispy fries. People are hired to make the food look perfect. Individually gluing poppy seeds onto the burger buns, painting the lettuce, airbrushing the fries, or making sure the soda looks great. every so that you will look the picture of the product, and expect to receive what you have been shown. The pictures of a Big Mac or Whopper may look like they are fresh, plump and juicy. But you would be surprised to find a reheated patty, limp lettuce, maybe even a bun that isn’t fresh. What you look isn’t always what you receive. North American’s are consuming triple the amount of quick food than in previous years for many reasons, heres some ideas to clip down on your quick food intake. If you buy quick food because it is cheap, I encourage you to purchase food from the grocery store. If you have extra leftovers, keep them! They work great as lunch or dinner the next day, and it ends up saving you more! If you do not have enough time to prepare your food, try preparing some of it in the morning, so that you can quickly finish up the relax in the evening without wasting too much time. And, if you are craving the picture perfect burger, think twice. Make sure you understand you will not be likely receiving the same perfect burger than was in the advertisement People should not be consuming quick food on a regular basis. It is fine to eat once in a while, but it shouldn’t be eaten often.
